National Alliance on
Mental Illness

NAMI Franklin County has a New Mentor Program
Caring for a loved one with mental illness can be a difficult journey.
The Mentor Program is designed for family members — mentors and caregivers — bonded in a way like no other by the mental illness of a loved one. Caregiving, in general, presents challenges to most families who are holding down jobs, raising children, and taking care of their own needs and health. When caregiving also encompasses mental illness those everyday responsibilities are added to tasks that are daunting, frustrating, and often overwhelming.
  • Consider becoming a mentor. Apply to become a NAMI Franklin County Mentor to help families meet the challenges they face. application
  • Need help as a caregiver? Apply to be matched with a NAMI Franklin County Mentor who understands what you’re going through. application
